Queen triggerfish are carnivores that specialize in eating hard-shelled prey, such as sea urchins, lobsters and crabs. They are most active during the day and often use specialized feeding techniques on their prey of choice.

Large grouper, jacks and sharks.

Queen triggerfish are generally shy, but they can be extremely aggressive when defending their nest of eggs. They are known to chase and bite much larger creatures that venture too close.
