Curaçao
Curaçao is a Caribbean gem for both divers and snorkelers. Like its neighbor, Bonaire, the island has an incredible mix of healthy coral reefs and wrecks and a wide biodiversity. Reef Smart is currently producing a series of waterproof cards for the islands top sites and a full dive and snorkel guidebook is under development for publication in 2022.
United States Virgin Islands
The U.S. Virgin Islands consists of three islands and numerous islets. The clear, tranquil waters are ideal for SCUBA diving and the island’s have a mix of reefs and wrecks that makes them perfect for all experience levels.
British Virgin Islands
The British Virgin Islands, popular for its sailing charters, is also a key diving and snorkeling destination where stunning reefs combine with spectacular wrecks. The BVI is home to one of the best wreck dives in the Caribbean: RMS Rhone.
Bermuda
Bermuda is one of the most northern islands to support coral reefs. The waters here are slightly cooler, which may have helped protect the corals from bleaching. The reefs contain stunning swim-throughs and there are plenty of pristine wrecks.
Bahamas
The crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas are a top destination for divers and snorkelers. There are countless sites to explore and the islands are known for their abundant mega-fauna, including a wide range of shark species.
