Bonaire is often described as a diver’s paradise, with crystal-clear waters, stunning coral reefs and over 60 easily-accessible locations for shore diving and snorkeling. Reef Smart has produced a series of 12 waterproof handheld cards for Bonaire, as well as a dive and snorkel guidebook.
Barbados is a hidden gem for divers and snorkelers alike. Sitting on the eastern edge of the Caribbean, the island is blessed with numerous wrecks and a remarkable bank reef. Reef Smart released a series of 10 waterproof cards for Barbados, featuring the island’s top sites, as well as a dive and snorkel guidebook.
Palau is a world-renowned dive destination. This Pacific archipelago has hundreds of natural coral reefs and wrecks in its aquamarine waters, consistently delivering spectacular underwater experiences to divers and snorkelers. Reef Smart has released a series of 11 waterproof cards for Palau, including an island map.
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
The Fort Lauderdale area of Florida, is considered one of the best shipwreck diving locations in the world. The area also boasts three easily accessible reef tracts, which means there is plenty for everyone to explore. Reef Smart has developed a series of 23 waterproof cards for the area, as well as a dive and snorkel guidebook.
The Florida Keys offers some of the best reef and wreck diving in the continental United States, with both shallow and deep sites and a range of experience levels to suit everyone from snorkelers to tech divers. Reef Smart has developed a series of 12 waterproof dive cards for the Florida Keys with plans to expand the series and develop a guidebook in the near future.
Palm Beach, Florida
Palm Beach County, Florida, offers an incredible assortment of natural and artificial reefs, including a number of extensive wreck treks and some of the best drift diving in the United States. Reef Smart has mapped around 30 dive and snorkel sites in Palm Beach and published guidebook and a series of waterproof cards.
North Carolina is known as the graveyard of the Atlantic due to its many historical wrecks, including some wartime wrecks such as the famous German submarine, U-352. Reef Smart has produced several waterproof cards for the region and has plans to expand the series.
Northwest Florida and Alabama
Reef Smart started mapping off the Northwest Florida and Alabama coasts in the summer of 2019. A line of waterproof cards was developed in early 2020 and will be expanded over the course of the year. A full guidebook of the region is scheduled for release in 2021.
Truk Lagoon is a popular dive destination known for its incredible World War II era wrecks. Reef Smart produced a 3D model of the wreck of the Japanese Mutsuki Class destroyer Fumizuki, which is available as a waterproof handheld card.
Few Caribbean destinations have greater appeal than the Cayman Islands. This three-island chain boasts dozens of incredible sites surrounded by crystal-clear water. Reef Smart has undertaken multiple trips to this region in order to produce two dive and snorkel guidebooks - one for Grand Cayman and another for the Sister Islands of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman - as well as a series waterproof cards.
Curaçao is a Caribbean gem for both divers and snorkelers. Like its neighbor, Bonaire, the island has an incredible mix of healthy coral reefs and wrecks and a wide biodiversity. Reef Smart produced a waterproof card featuring a map of the island’s many dive sites in 2017 and will be expanding completing a series and guidebook very soon.
The underwater sites in Grenada are about as diverse as you can find in the Caribbean. There are spectacular wrecks, including the massive Bianca C - a former cruise ship - as well as healthy reefs and even an underwater sculpture park containing art installations that are accessible to both divers and snorkelers. Reef Smart is in the process of developing a series of waterproof cards and a guidebook for Grenada.
