Behavior:

Bicolor damselfish defend small algae territories in the same way as other damselfish species. While they generally live alone, this species occasionally forms small groups of up to 20 individuals, usually led by a dominant male. Bicolor damselfish feed on benthic algae, but also consume plankton.

Predators:

Grouper and jacks.

Bicolor damselfish are more likely to inhabit areas with stronger water currents, than other damselfish species, which may have something to do with the fact that their diet is more focused on plankton.
