Behavior:

Banded coral shrimp are often found hiding in reef cracks and sponges. They are most active at night when hunting for small fish, other crustaceans, snails and worms, although they sometimes clean parasites from other reef creatures. This species of shrimp forms monogamous pairs that defend a territory against other shrimp.

Predators:

Grouper, snapper, moray eels and barracuda.
