Reef Smart begins development of Palm Beach guides

Reef Smart is pleased to announce that production of our next guidebook and series of waterproof cards will begin in Palm Beach County in August.

The work is taking place with the generous support of Discover The Palm Beaches – the official tourism marketing corporation for Palm Beach County, Palm Beach Diving Association and the Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resources Management.
The Reef Smart team will be present in The Palm Beaches for three weeks to collect the data needed to create three-dimensional models of up to 30 of the area’s premium reef and wreck sites, from Jupiter to Boca Raton, including renowned dive and snorkel sites such as Blue Heron Bridge, Zion train, Captain Mikes, the Ana Cecilia and Mizpah Corridor, and the MV Castor.
Reef Smart’s dive and snorkel guide for Palm Beach County will bring the total number of guidebooks produced, or currently under production, to five. The Barbados dive and snorkel guide was released in January, with Fort Lauderdale, Bonaire and Cayman Islands also under development.
This current project is being conducted with the assistance of Jupiter Dive Center, Pura Vida Divers and Starfish Scuba, as well as the Waterstone Resort & Marina in Boca, Palm Beach Lakes Best Western and Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa.
