Scuba Bowl is a deep wall dive that begins at a depth of around 80 feet (24 meters). It is the deepest of the corner sites and is also the most exposed to the strong currents that often wrap around the southeast corner of the island. As a result, Scuba Bowl is often explored as a drift dive. The complex wall is covered in healthy corals and sponges along with a couple of large pinnacles that jut out into the blue. The site is also known for its massive mushroom formation that resembles a church spire. Cubera Snapper are common at this site, as well as jacks, grouper and eagle rays. Scuba Bowl was named after a promotional SCUBA diving event that was first held in the Cayman Islands in 1981 at the start of the year, just before the Superbowl.
