C53 Felipe Xicotencatl is a U.S. Navy minesweeper sunk as an artificial reef in 1999 in Cozumel, Mexico. It is one of the most popular sites in Cozumel and is accessible to divers and snorkelers of all skill levels.

The C53 Felipe Xicotencatl, usually just referred to as the C53, was a US Navy minesweeper that was sunk as an artificial in 1999. The depth ranges from 75 feet (23 meters) on the seabed, to 33 feet (10 meters) at the shallowest point. The wreck is 184 feet (56 meters) in length and provides penetration opportunities for those with the necessary certification and experience. The wreck is covered in corals and sponges and attracts a range of large reef fish, including black grouper, cubera snapper and numerous angelfish species. On an island that is perhaps better known for its stunning reef dives, the C53 represents Cozumel’s premier wreck dive.
