Behavior:

Peacock flounders are usually found partially buried in loose sand near coral reefs, mangroves and seagrass beds. They are the most common flounders around coral reefs, and mainly feed on small fish, but also crustaceans and small octopuses.

Snapper and sharks.

Flounders are masters of camouflage – they are able to change their coloration in a matter of seconds to avoid being detected by both prey and predators. They also hide in the sand, often leaving only the eyes protruding.
