Behavior:

Ocean triggerfish spend most of their lives out on the open ocean, hiding from predators among the drifting sargassum and artificial debris. They also visit outer reefs and drop-offs where they form pairs, build nests and reproduce. Ocean triggerfish are found all over the world, from the Caribbean to the Indian and Pacific Oceans.

The ocean triggerfish is found throughout coastal habitats in the Atlantic, as far north as Massachusetts, as far south as Brazil, westward to the Gulf of Mexico, and eastward to the Canary Islands off the coast of Africa.
