Behavior:

Nassau grouper like to inhabit caves and crevices. They feed mainly at dawn and dusk, eating almost any organism that can fit into their mouth, from small fish, to crabs and lobsters. Usually solitary, they gather in large numbers at traditional winter spawning grounds.

Predators:

Sharks, barracuda and large grouper, including other Nassau grouper.
