Vortex Spring is one of the largest and safest diving facilities in the state of Florida. This 520 acre playground produces approximately 28 million gallons of crystal "gin" clear water daily at a year-round temperature of 68 F (20 C). The spring basin is 50 feet (15 meters) deep at the mouth of the cavern, which continues another one hundred yards, to a depth of 115 feet (35 meters) at the cave system security gate.
