Behavior:

Puddingwives are commonly found on reefs, where they feed on molluscs, sea urchins, crustaceans and brittle stars. Juveniles typically inhabit shallow coral reefs while adults also frequent deeper reefs. As with other wrasses, adults change color dramatically as they grow and reach terminal phase.

Predators:

Reef sharks, greater amberjacks and snapper.
