Behavior:

Pinfish are closely related to breams and porgies. They are found mainly in the Gulf of Mexico and the U.S. coastline as far north as Massachusetts. Young pinfish feed on crustaceans, fish eggs, worms and insects, but as they age, their diet shifts increasing toward plants and algae. As adults, pinfish are almost entirely herbivorous.

Grouper and cobia.
