Behavior:

Pearly razorfish, sometimes referred to as cleaver wrasses, are common throughout the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. They favor sand and mud habitat and often dive into the sediment when threatened. This species is active during the day, feeding on small invertebrates, such as crabs, shrimp and worms.

Predators:

Grouper, snapper, barracuda and greater amberjack.

Pearly razorfish are often found in water shallower than 60 feet (18 meters), but in winter they migrate into much deeper water.
