Behavior:

Hogfish live in small groups with a dominant male and several smaller females – a common pattern in wrasses. Their name comes from how they root around in the sand with their snout, looking for crustaceans and molluscs. Larger individuals frequent the main reef, while smaller individuals are often found on patch reefs.

Predators:

Sharks and large grouper.
