Behavior:

One of the largest members of the grunt family, the bluestriped grunt is also one of the most brightly colored, sporting numerous gold and blue stripes. Juveniles begin life in seagrass beds and move to coral reefs as they become adults. This species can form large schools and is often wary of divers.

Predators:

Grouper, snapper, barracuda and sharks.
