Behavior:
While emerald parrotfish can be found in deep water, they are predominantly found in shallow seagrass habitat less than 3 feet (1 meter) deep. They are active during the day when they are often seen feeding in small groups on seagrass and small invertebrates.
Predators:
Grouper, Snapper and eels.
